IT Project Manager
The expectation is this individual would have experience with managing large projects in addition to the complexity of managing resources through multiple agencies and/or vendors. Preference will be given to individuals who have Maine IT and OFI experience and knowledge of the practices and procedures of each entity.
The Integrated Online Services (IOS) RFP has been published. As we learned from the Business Rules Engine project, the coordination and communication between 3 entities (Maine IT, the Office for Family Independence, and the selected bidder from the RFP process), requires more than 1 Project Manager (PM) to coordinate schedules, action items, understand and communicate risk, organizing and motivating a project team, and monitoring progress.
While it will be a requirement of the selected vendor to provide their own Project Manager for the specific RFP deliverables and timeline, the Project Manager requested for this assignment is to organize and direct the Maine IT and the Office for Family Independence (OFI) staff who will be engaging in this project with the selected vendor. The Maine IT/OFI PM will be required to:
1.) Regularly (weekly minimum) coordinate with the selected vendor PM.
2.) Communicate status and risk to Maine IT and OFI Leadership.
3.) Attend workshops and business requirement gathering sessions to ensure adequate Maine IT and OFI representation.
a. Identify gaps in Maine IT and OFI resources project knowledge and communicate project risk if not mitigated.
b. Coordinate Maine IT and OFI action items and missed deliverable dates and communicate project risk if not mitigated.
c. Coordinate resource scheduling and communicate impact to other projects and deliverables of higher priority.
