Role Overview
The Workday Business Systems Analyst (HRIS) partners with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to provide functional and technical support across the Workday platform. This role supports enterprise HR initiatives through system configuration, integrations, reporting, and ongoing production support. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Workday experience, strong HR domain knowledge, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This position is part of a small, collaborative Workday team responsible for delivering high-impact HR technology solutions while adhering to Workday best practices and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a Workday Business Systems Analyst / HRIS Analyst supporting enterprise HR systems and processes

Provide tier 2 / tier 3 production support for Workday, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution

Configure and support Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Time & Absence

Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards, including calculated fields, composite reports, and matrix reports

Support and maintain Workday integrations, including EIBs, PECI, and Workday Studio, ensuring data accuracy and reliability

Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement system enhancements

Lead and execute end-to-end testing (unit testing, integration testing, UAT), ensuring high-quality deployments to production

Participate in Workday releases, regression testing, and post-production validation

Maintain system documentation, business process frameworks, security configurations, and deployment artifacts

Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and SOX controls related to HR systems and employee data

Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels

Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines and SLAs
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

3+ years of hands-on Workday experience in a Business Systems Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or Workday Analyst role

Experience supporting two or more Workday modules (HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Time & Absence)

Strong experience with Workday reporting and calculated fields

Hands-on experience with Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, PECI)

Knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security roles, and domain policies

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

High level of discretion and experience handling confidential HR and employee data
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
