Sr. Gen AI Consultant

Join us as a Senior Generative AI Consultant and lead the development of sophisticated retrieval-augmented generation systems tailored for investment and research documents. This remote, 4-month contract offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful AI solutions within a dynamic financial environment. What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced agentic RAG pipelines focused on investment, research, and portfolio documents.
- Create intelligent, multi-step LLM-powered agents capable of reasoning, tool use, and document analysis such as Q&A, summarization, and cross-document insights.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, embedding, and retrieval systems using vector databases and integration with internal/external APIs and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and translate them into scalable, high-performance AI solutions.
- Continuously improve system relevance, latency, and accuracy through prompt engineering and system evaluation.
Required Skills:
- Strong Python programming skills with experience in building production-quality AI solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with LangChain or similar frameworks for multi-tool, multi-step AI agent orchestration.
- Practical experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, or Chroma.
- Proven track record in building and deploying RAG systems, including document ingestion, embedding, and retrieval.
- Familiarity with GenAI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure/OpenAI, or LlamaIndex.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to design evaluation frameworks for LLM output relevance, accuracy, and hallucination mitigation.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with financial or investment domain content, including research reports and market commentary.
- Knowledge of data engineering workflows, ETL processes, orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines for AI services.
- Expertise in prompt engineering, fine-tuning models, or adapter-based customization.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience in AI development within finance, research, or related industries is highly desirable.

- This role is fully remote, but southern candidates or those in NYC within EST are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to undergo a background check (approximately 3 weeks).
