We received a fixed price bid from Buckeye Partners, who are wanting to partner with someone who can create a ML solution for their “Dig Forecasting/Advanced Analytics” project. This is a great opportunity to showcase our capabilities by providing a consultant that can lead this project.
I think it would be a good idea to identify a consultant who has done something similar to this project in the Oil and Gas industry, but we can consider someone outside of the Oil and Gas industry if we have no luck finding someone there.
At the minimum, doing this we will show Buckeye that we can find them top level talent to earn credibility and have more seats at the table. Hopefully, we can respond back to Hung with a Times & Materials bid and get a conversation going.

More information about the project: Dig Forecasting is referring to call 811 (811 is the national call-before-you-dig phone number for anyone who plans to dig). They receive 1,000 requests a day via 811 for their 6,600-mile footprint of pipeline. This is being done manually and they want someone to provide a solution to automate this process. The current process is, they receive a call via 811 requesting where Buckeye’s pipe is exactly in the ground, a ticket is created, then Buckeye has to manually provide their documents/easements to provide this information.

The Financial Aid and Student Account systems are among the most federally regulated and audited systems at the University. Daily compliance with all Federal, State and University regulations are critical. These are ever changing and changes are often complicated and difficult to test and implement.
These systems are also highly integrated so changes to one system often require analysis and changes to the other. Proposed changes need to be fully vetted to ensure all downstream ramifications have been identified and addressed.
The majority of our billing, payment and refund processes are integrated with a third party vendor, Nelnet. Ensuring that accurate data is flowing between these systems and that the billing and payment systems are reliable and accurate is critical to the daily operation of the office. The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for the administration of SQL Servers for a private equity firm with a growing footprint of important systems and data warehousing, both on-premises and in Azure. This includes but is not limited to planning, configuration, administration with an emphasis on security, backup and recovery, deployment, and documentation. Must possess vital skills to triage performance issues found in ETL and large-scale reporting workloads in a data warehouse, recommend solutions to these problems, and partner with engineering teams to deliver performance improving changes.
