Position Overview:

The Paid Search Analyst position is for the individual who knows search engine marketing inside and out. He or she must want to complete search campaigns from conception to the very end – and then be evaluated based on the actual results of those campaigns. In addition, the Paid Search Analyst must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and is someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within a team.

Job Description:

  • Day-to-day management of paid search campaigns on designated search engines, including keyword generation, negative matching, ad copy testing, bid management, and budget management
  • Create, implement, track, analyze and optimize paid search campaigns at a keyword level
  • Actively test and analyze keywords and copy to meet ROI targets and drive incremental volume
  • Identify and test keyword expansion opportunities
  • Work in collaboration with analytics team to optimize keyword performance
  • Collaborate with other team member to replicate best practices and key learnings across designated search engines
  • Maintain a consultant- and/or expert-level understanding of search industry trends and changes
  • Produce professional work products on time and on budget
  • Keep all client data and reports confidential and secure
  • Manage and coordinate with Paid Search Supervisor across multiple accounts

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ of work experience in interactive marketing and/or e-commerce
  • Bachelor degree from a four-year university or college
  • Competency in Microsoft Office software packages required
  • Competency in a bid management tool required (for example, Atlas, DART, etc.)
  • Competency in major search engine management tools required (for example, AdWords, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with major paid search networks and bid management tools
  • Extensive experience monitoring, analyzing, and communicating campaign results
  • Can formulate and makes recommendations on paid search (PPC/CPC)
  • Can execute, monitor, analyze, and optimize paid search (PPC/CPC) campaigns on a daily basis
  • Works with other internal departments, including creative, account, technology, and project management and external partners such as web publishers to ensure effective coordination and execution of PPC/CPC campaigns
  • Possesses solid work ethic, adaptation to fast-paced environment, and works well under pressure
